Islam in America Our Challenges & Opportunities

Friday, November 7, 2014 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Muslim Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh, 233 Seaman Ln, Monroeville, PA 15146

Islam in America
Our Challenges & Opportunities
Dr. Haider Hamoudi

Muslims in US society should be unapologetic and forthright about asserting their space in the national fabric, ensuring the realization of our civil rights, making sure that we set an example by our conduct. This shouldn't get in the way of us also being, internally as a community, able to engage openly and even criticize parts and aspects of our history and present where Islamic law has been used and abused to achieve ends we categorically reject.
